Released in 1993 for the Philips CD-i, 'Zelda: The Faces of Evil' is an action-adventure game. Developed by Animation Magic and part of the controversial non-Nintendo 'Zelda' games, it features animated full-motion video cutscenes and a side-scrolling gameplay style. As Link, players must rescue Princess Zelda from the eponymous Faces of Evil by traversing the land of Koridai, solving puzzles and defeating enemies. It's often criticized for its poor controls and animation quality.
