Although positioned to capitalize on the burgeoning interest in interactive media, the CD-i platform is often criticized for its lack of high-quality gaming content and sluggish performance. It did, however, gain cult status for some unique titles, including entries in the 'Zelda' series that are not officially recognized by Nintendo.
