Urban Champion is a 2D fighting video game developed and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). Released in 1986, it's recognized as Nintendo's first 2D fighting game. The premise of the game is a player-controlled city dweller fighting against various neighborhood troublemakers in a series of street brawls. The game offers a simple combat system where players dodge, block and punch their opponents with the ultimate goal of knocking them into a sewer manhole. The game also innovatively included elements of stamina, testing both strategy and quick reflex skills.
