Space Raiders, known as 'Space Invaders: Invasion Day' outside North America, is a sci-fi shooter video game for the Nintendo GameCube developed by Taito and published by Mastiff. It was released in 2002 and is a reimagining of the classic 'Space Invaders'. The game transitions the traditional arcade top-down view to a third-person perspective. Players take control of a set of characters fighting off an alien invasion in urban environments. Its gameplay involves various levels with swarms of extraterrestrial enemies and boss fights. Although it deviates from the original's simplistic design, it aims to capture the essence of the classic shooter's frantic action.
