Space Ace, a follow-up to the legendary Dragon's Lair, is an animated full-motion video (FMV) arcade game that debuted in 1984. Designed by Don Bluth and developed by Advanced Microcomputer Systems, it was later ported to the Philips CD-i in 1991. The game features Ace, a heroic space adventurer who must thwart the evil Commander Borf's plans to conquer Earth. With vibrant animation and challenging gameplay, Space Ace offers a unique blend of interactive storytelling and arcade action, inviting players to rescue the damsel Kimberly and save the planet. Genre-wise, it falls under action and FMV games and is known for its distinct cartoonish style.
