Originally released for the Sega Master System in 1991, 'Sonic the Hedgehog' is a classic 2D platformer that introduced the iconic blue speedster, Sonic. As Sonic, players race through levels at high speeds, collect rings, and thwart the evil Dr. Robotnik's plans. The Master System version, though graphically less advanced compared to its Sega Genesis counterpart, was praised for maintaining the core gameplay mechanics and providing an enjoyable experience for players who preferred the 8-bit console.
