SimAnt, developed by Maxis for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES), is a real-time strategy simulation game. Set in a suburban lawn, players control an ant colony competing against another colony and facing environmental hazards. The goal is to expand territory, gather resources, and ultimately invade the human residence to drive out the enemy red ants and predators. By simulating ant behavior and colony management, players experience a unique blend of strategy and simulation, indicative of Maxis' innovative design in the early 1990s.
