Pokemon: Moon is part of the seventh generation of the Pokemon video game series and was released for the Nintendo 3DS in 2016. This role-playing game (RPG) takes players to the tropical Alola region, inspired by Hawaii, where they can capture, train, and battle with Pokemon. Players take on the role of a young Pokemon trainer aiming to become the Pokemon Champion by conquering various trials and defeating powerful trainers known as Kahunas. The game introduced new features, such as Alolan forms of classic Pokemon, Z-Moves, and the Festival Plaza, enhancing the series' traditional gameplay.
