NBA Hang Time is an arcade-style basketball video game for the Nintendo 64, developed by Midway and released in 1997. Belonging to the sports genre, specifically basketball, it continues the fast-paced, over-the-top gameplay of its predecessor, NBA Jam. Players select real NBA teams and compete in two-on-two matches with exaggerated slam dunks, no fouls, and special alley-oops. The game features a roster from the 1996–97 NBA season, various unlockable secret characters, and the ability for players to create their own basketball stars.
