Death and Return of Superman, The - Genesis

The Death and Return of Superman is a side-scrolling beat'em up video game released by Sunsoft for the Sega Genesis in 1994. Based on the comic book story arc of the same name, the game features Superman battling through hordes of enemies to defeat the supervillain Doomsday and save Metropolis. After Superman's initial defeat, players then control the characters who emerge in the wake of his death: Superboy, Steel, The Eradicator, and The Cyborg, before Superman's eventual return. As players progress through multiple levels, each character showcases unique abilities and move sets reflective of their comic book counterparts.
