Originally released for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) in 1990, Crystalis found a new home on the Game Boy Color (GBC) in 2000. This action RPG blends a post-apocalyptic world with fantasy elements. Players take on the role of a hero who wakes up from a cryogenic sleep and sets out to prevent a looming empire from gaining control of the world's remaining magic. The game combines real-time combat with exploration and puzzle-solving, as players seek out the four elemental swords required to forge the legendary sword Crystalis.
