Castlevania: Curse of Darkness is an action-adventure and role-playing game for Sony's second-generation console, PlayStation 2. This game is an instalment in the famous Castlevania series. Set in a dark, gothic universe fraught with horrors, the player assumes the role of Hector, a Devil Forgemaster, hell-bent on avenging his lover's death. The gameplay features exploration through various dungeons and fight against grotesque creatures, along with RPG elements like crafting and managing a companion creature. The focus is on combat, puzzle-solving and showing once again Konami's mastery in creating an atmospheric, horror game.
