Surround for the Atari 2600 is an early video game belonging to the puzzle genre. Released in 1977, it is one of the nine launch titles for the system. In Surround, players maneuver their constantly moving line around the playing field, aiming to box in their opponent without colliding with the game borders, the opponent's line, or their own line. Each player leaves a solid line behind them as they move, creating barriers on the screen. The gameplay is reminiscent of the classic Snake game, but with head-to-head competition. It's a simple yet challenging game of strategy and evasion.
