Released in 1994 for the Sega Genesis, 'Spiderman: Maximum Carnage' is a side-scrolling beat 'em up video game based on the Marvel Comics characters, Spider-Man and Venom. The game's plot is inspired by the 'Maximum Carnage' comic book crossover and features a Special Limited Edition Red Cartridge. As one of these superheroes, players fight through numerous levels, battling Carnage and his army of supervillains. Notably, the black cartridge is a rarer version of the game which collectors often seek.
