Released for the Sega Saturn in 1996, Powerslave, also known as Exhumed in Europe, is a first-person shooter developed by Lobotomy Software. Set in Egypt, players traverse through ancient ruins, discovering artifacts and battling mummies and other supernatural enemies. It is known for incorporating exploration and adventure elements on top of its action-driven gameplay. Powerslave was recognized for its impressive graphics and use of the Sega Saturn hardware to deliver an immersive atmosphere during a time when the FPS genre was predominantly PC-focused.
