Odama is a unique pinball strategy video game released for the Nintendo GameCube in 2006. Developed by Vivarium and published by Nintendo, it combines conventional pinball gameplay with military strategy elements. Players control a large ball (the Odama) to destroy enemies and clear paths on the battlefield, while simultaneously commanding an army to capture a bell situated at the top of the playfield. Directed by Seaman creator Yoot Saito, Odama is notable for its innovative use of the Nintendo GameCube Microphone, allowing players to issue voice commands to their troops in real-time. The game is set in a fantastical feudal Japan, featuring rich historical fantasy themes, and is known for its challenging gameplay that requires both quick reflexes and tactical thinking.
