Lord of the Rings: Journey to Rivendell (Prototype) - Atari 2600

Lord of the Rings: Journey to Rivendell was intended to be an adventure game for the Atari 2600, based on J.R.R. Tolkien's epic fantasy novel, The Lord of the Rings. Although it was scheduled for release in 1983 by Parker Brothers, the game was ultimately cancelled, and officially, it never saw the light of day. Decades later, a prototype of the game surfaced, allowing a glimpse into what could have been an early adventure into Middle-earth. The prototype reveals the player's quest to navigate Frodo Baggins from the Shire to Rivendell while avoiding the menacing Black Riders.
