Lemmings is a puzzle-platformer video game originally developed by DMA Design and first released in 1991 for the Commodore Amiga. Despite its simple graphics, the gameplay of Lemmings was highly innovative for its time. Players are tasked with guiding a group of anthropomorphic creatures called lemmings through a variety of obstacles to a designated exit. To accomplish this, players assign different skills to certain lemmings, such as digging, building, or blocking, in order to alter the landscape to create a safe path for the others to follow. The CD-i version of Lemmings was one of the many ports and featured the game’s classic levels and gameplay, optimized for the Philips CD-i console.
