Hit the Ice - Game Boy
Hit the Ice - Game Boy
Hit the Ice is a hockey video game that was initially an arcade game released by Taito in 1990 before being ported to various platforms, including the Game Boy. The Game Boy version, specifically, is a scaled-down adaptation of the original, retaining the exaggerated, cartoonish style of the players and the fast-paced action of arcade-style hockey. While it lacks the graphics and multiplayer capability of its arcade counterpart, it still offers the core gameplay mechanics, such as body checks and slap shots, allowing players to engage in the sport within the constraints of the handheld platform. The game includes a season mode where players can lead their team through a series of matches with the goal of winning the championship.
