Golden Axe - Genesis

Golden Axe for Sega Genesis is a classic side-scrolling beat 'em up/action game released in 1989. Set in a medieval fantasy world, players embark on a quest as one of three warriors: the battle-axe-wielding dwarf Gilius Thunderhead, the powerful Amazonian Tyris Flare, or the broadsword-brandishing barbarian Ax Battler. They seek revenge against the tyrannical Death Adder who has captured the king and his daughter and threatens the lands with a colossal, magical axe. Players fight through various levels, riding beasts, and using magic to vanquish foes and restore peace to the land.
