Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine is a puzzle game for the Sega Genesis, released in 1993. The game is set in the Sonic the Hedgehog universe and features the villain, Dr. Robotnik. Players must rearrange falling pairs of colored beans into groups of four or more matching colors to make them disappear, in a manner similar to Tetris and Puyo Puyo. The objective is to prevent the beans from reaching the top of the screen while facing off against increasingly difficult AI-controlled opponents. Its addictive gameplay and strategic bean-matching mechanics make it a classic of the genre.
