Athena for Nintendo NES is an action-adventure platform game. Released in 1987 and developed by SNK, the player controls Athena, the princess of the heavenly Kingdom of Victory. It’s an epic quest through different worlds while battling enemies, increasing knowledge and power by obtaining knowledge and experience points. The game stands out with its vast array of weapons, many unique to a specific terrain. Each terrain ending with a boss battle, and a final confrontation with Dante, the emperor of the underworld.
