Assassin's Creed: Unity is an action-adventure video game developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft. Released in 2014 for the PlayStation 4 among other platforms, it is set in a fictional history of real-world events and follows the centuries-old struggle between the Assassins, who fight for peace with free will, and the Templars, who desire peace through control. The game is set in Paris during the French Revolution, where the player embodies Arno Dorian, an Assassin, in his quest for redemption. Unity introduced cooperative multiplayer to the series alongside improved graphics and an open-world design.
